Do I need an account or a subscription?
No. You don’t need an account, and the core app features are free to use with no subscription needed.
How do I set it up?

Place the card where you’ll use it most and tap to try your first Off.
How does the tap work on iPhone?
Your iPhone supports system-level controls that allow you to limit access to specific apps. The Off Switch guides you through the right permissions so your tap can pause what you choose, quickly and on-device.
Can I start small and change it later?
Of course. Start with a short, quiet list, try an Off moment in your day, and adjust as you go.
Using the card
Where should I keep the card?
Pick a spot that matches your desired habit. Most people choose their home office desk, bedside table, or kitchen. Remember: the location becomes the cue.
What still works when I switch Off?
You decide. Only the apps you add to your quiet list step aside. The tools you choose to keep remain available.
Can I use more than one card?
Yes. Many people keep one by their bed, one on their desk at work, and one in their bag for the gym. You can set them up once and use them interchangeably.
Can more than one iPhone use the same card?
Yes. You can pair the same card with more than one iPhone if you want to share habits at home.
Can I create different lists for different times?
Yes. Many people make simple lists for work, study, or evenings, then tap the same card to use whichever suits the moment.
Compatibility
Which phones does it work with?
The Off Switch is compatible with iPhones running iOS 17 and later. You’ll see the latest compatibility details inside the app during setup.
What about Android?
Android is on the roadmap. You can check back here for the latest updates.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. After setup, the core tap-to-Off experience works offline.
Privacy
What data do you collect?
The Off Switch is designed to be private. There are no user accounts for core features, no analytics, and no external storage of your choices.
Can I change or remove permissions later?
Yes. You can revisit permissions in your phone settings, update your lists in the app, and return to your previous setup at any time.

Cost and plans
Is the app free?
Yes. The core features are free to use, with no subscription needed.
Will this change later?
Our stance on core features is simple. No account for the basics, no tracking, and no recurring fees for the core experience.
What do I pay for after buying the card?
Nothing for the core app features. You pay once for the card and keep using the core features for as long as you like.
Troubleshooting
The tap did nothing. What should I try?

Move the top edge of your iPhone slowly over the card.

Make sure the card is not resting on metal and is lying flat.

Open the app once to confirm setup, then try again.
My apps didn’t pause. Why?

Open the app and check that permission is still enabled.

Confirm that the apps you want quiet are on your list.

Tap the card again to apply the current setup.
I’m switching phones. What should I do?

Install the app on the new phone and follow the prompts.

Recreate or import your lists.

Tap the card to link and test an Off moment.

Where do you ship?
Available regions appear in the shop and at checkout. Taxes and shipping are shown clearly before you pay.
How long will delivery take?
Dispatch timings and delivery estimates appear at checkout and in your confirmation email. The shop always shows the latest estimate.
What is your returns policy?

Can I change or cancel my order?
